To the Supreme Basileus of the Universe and to the founding members of the Divine Nine who labored effortlessly in 1930 on the campus of Howard University during a time where racial segregation and disenfranchisement plagued African Americans. I bring you Greetings as it is indeed a prestigious honor and a humbling experience to serve in this capacity as President of the “PREMIER” National Pan-Hellenic Council of Greater Atlanta. NPHC of Greater Atlanta is proud to have served humanity and its respective organizations for well over 80 years and we are delighted to have an eternal presence in the Atlanta area where Greek Life rises above the occasion and showcases its individual talents. In this council, I am glad to report to you that we are 21 chapters strong and growing with 50 years of being active in this community. While we recognize the social aspect of Greek college life, we furthermore recognize the pillars of community awareness and action through educational, economic, and cultural service activities. It is these pillars that wholeheartedly drives, motivates, equips and inspires us to fulfill our calling and to serve this present age. The NPHC of Greater Atlanta recognizes and understands its ultimate mission in Greek Life, and while we have pledged our hearts and time through monetary sacrifices, we furthermore have pledged our commitment to service, scholarship, achievement, spiritual welfare, economic development, leadership development, fellowship, brotherhood and sisterhood. We are devoted resources in and out of our community and have pledged a lifetime commitment in the pursuit of scholarship, service to the goals and ideals of each respective organization.
After much deliberation, the verdict has finally arrived, that being a part of this council is the best thing that has happened to Greek Life. “It matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll, we are the Master of our fate, the Captain of our Souls”. We are the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Greater Atlanta.
