NPHC of Greater Atlanta 2024 Scholarship Program

 

Eligible Applicants are encouraged to APPLY!!!

 

Who’s Eligible:

We will award scholarships to talented, college-bound high school seniors residing and attending school in the city of Atlanta, Clayton, Fayette, and Fulton Counties. We will also award scholarships to Divine Nine students pursuing their undergraduate degrees at colleges located in the city of Atlanta, Clayton, Fayette, and Fulton Counties.

NPHC is committed to scholarship, community service, and empowering the community through enriching cultural experiences. 

About Us:

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the governing body of the nation’s nine historically African-American fraternities and sororities. These organizations are committed to scholarship, community service, and cultural enrichment. The primary purpose of NPHC is to create and maintain high standards and to perpetuate constructive relationships both within and among our affiliate organizations. NPHC affiliates and their respective members have pledged to devote their resources to service in their communities as well as a lifetime commitment to the goals and ideals of each organization.  

The NPHC of Greater Atlanta will award:

 

  • NINE (9) $500 scholarships to deserving graduating high school seniors

  • THIRTEEN (13) $2,000 scholarships to deserving NPHC/D9 undergraduate students

 

Students should exude high academic achievement, leadership, and community service. Through the application process, the recipients will show an alignment with our goals and demonstrate their interest in making a difference in society.  

 

For High School Students the following criteria apply:

  • College-bound high school seniors residing and attending school in the city of Atlanta, Clayton, Fayette, and Fulton County. 

  • No GPA requirement.

 

For NPHC/D9 Students the following criteria apply:

  • Applicants must attend a college or university in the city of Atlanta, Clayton, Fayette, or Fulton County. 

  • Must be financial/active in their NPHC/D9 undergraduate chapter.

  • Spring 2024 graduates are not eligible to apply.  College Seniors who are NOT graduating in Spring 2024 may apply.  

  • Minimum 2.5 GPA requirement.

Application Deadline: 

The application, essay, community service form, and letters of recommendation will be reviewed by the NPHC of Greater Atlanta’s Scholarship Committee. 

High School Student applications must be submitted by March 1, 2024

D9 College Student applications must be submitted by March 1, 2024. 

Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award by April 8, 2024 (via email and telephone). Scholarship recipients are requested to attend a special NPHC awards ceremony to be held at a later date.
